Huascarán National Park in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range, Peru, has its highest point at 6,768 m above sea level. The protected area covers some 340,000 ha and covers almost the whole of the Cordillera Blanca. The mountain range contains 33 peaks over 5,500 m in height as well as 80 glaciers and 120 glacial lakes.
