The tallest launch tower (or service structure) is the Starbase Integration Tower, which rises 146 m (479 ft) above the SpaceX facility in Boca Chica, Texas, USA. The tower was built to support the development of SpaceX's 120-m (393-ft) Starship/Super Heavy launch vehicle. The tower was first used to stack the launch vehicle's two stages on 10 Feb 2022.

The Starbase Integration Tower is unusual in that it is designed to serve as both a launch tower (which holds the propellant/power umbilicals and braces the rocket prior to launch) and a vehicle integration crane (used for stacking the rocket's stages). The tower is fitted with a pair of robotic arms called the "chopsticks" that are designed to not only lift the Starship vehicle onto the top of the Super Heavy booster, but also catch the Super Heavy booster when it returns to the launch site to land.

The Saturn V had two separate facilities for these functions; stacking took place in the massive Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) while the launches were supported by the Mobile Launcher Platform, which comprised a 115.8 m (380 ft) launch tower mounted on a 8-m (26-ft) mobile base called the Crawler Transporter.
