The most consecutive wins in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers is 16 by West Germany from 10 May 1969 to 30 April 1985. West Germany's list of wins is as follows:

1–0 vs Austria; 12–0 vs Cyprus; 3–2 vs Scotland; 3–1 vs Bulgaria; 2–0 vs Albania; 2–0 vs Austria; 4–0 vs Finland; 7–1 vs Finland; 3–1 vs Austria; 8–0 vs Albania; 4–0 vs Bulgaria; 2–0 vs Sweden; 3–2 vs Malta; 2–1 vs Portugal; 6–0 vs Malta; 5–1 vs Czechoslovakia.

Their run finally came to an end against Sweden who held them to a 2–2 draw in Solna, following that game they failed to win their two remaining qualifiers in the 1986 campaign. During the 2014 World Cup Qualifying campaign the Netherlands came close to equalling this record, winning an impressive 14 in a row before they drew with Estonia.
